The French’s have made great progress in their energy program with the last Flamanville 3 reactor being connected to the national grid. This particular reactor is the biggest of 16 that exist in France and has the capacity of generating 1600MW of power which is bound to be very helpful in France’s energy crisis.
Construction of Flamanville 3 project which started around 2007, faced several issues that prolonged its completion but now with France able to attach it the National grid, it is quite the comfort for French citizens as they won’t be relying on other energy sources anymore.
Before gaining efficiency this reactor will have to go through rounds of tests to make sure that its functioning well, and is bound to give power to 2 million homes. France still has quite a few powerful nuclear energy plants making it one of the largest countries to have nuclear energy resources. Nuclear energy still is and will continue to be one of the main sources of power in France as the government is expanding nuclear energy facilities.
This just goes on to show how important nuclear energy is when it comes to energy in France and how France is working to meet the goal of using nuclear energy.
