Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive, supported by TVS Motor, has launched two exciting electric vehicles: the Tesseract electric scooter and the Shockwave e-bike. Introducing the Tesseract Electric Scooter

The Ultraviolette Tesseract marks the company’s first electric scooter. Its design is inspired by attack helicopters, showcasing a bold look with a chunky front apron, striking side panels, and dual projector headlights accompanied by unique daytime running lights (DRLs).

Performance and Features of the Tesseract

The Tesseract comes in three different versions, each offering a combination of power and battery capacity:

Tesseract 3.5: Equipped with a 10 kW motor, a 3.5 kWh battery, and a range of 162 km (Indian Driving Cycle – IDC).
Tesseract 5: Features a more powerful 15 kW motor, a 5 kWh battery, and a range of 220 km (IDC).
Tesseract 6: The most robust version with a 15 kW motor, a 6 kWh battery, and an impressive range of 261 km (IDC).

A standout feature of the Tesseract 6 is its fast charging capability, which enables it to recharge from 0 to 80% in less than an hour. Additionally, it is equipped with dual disc brakes featuring dual-channel ABS, a first for this segment.

The Ultraviolette Shockwave is developed for those who enjoy off-road adventures. It has features like raised fenders, long-travel suspension, and dual-purpose tires to handle various terrains.

Performance and Features of the Shockwave

Top speed of 120 km/h, capable of reaching 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
An impressive range of 165 km.

The Shockwave also includes switchable ABS and a 6-level regenerative braking system. Weighing only 120 kg, it boasts a lightweight and sturdy frame.

The introductory price for the Ultraviolette Shockwave starts at ₹1.49 lakh for the first 1,000 units, and will later increase to ₹1.75 lakh.

Future Plans

Ultraviolette has ambitious plans for the future. They aim to launch 12 new electric vehicles across five different platforms (F, S, L, X, and B series) within the next three years. Their goal is to achieve annual sales of 1 lakh units. Interested customers can now reserve both the Tesseract and Shockwave for only ₹999 on the company’s website. Deliveries are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
