Eternal Strands Collaborates with Renowned Artist and Game Studio for Complimentary DLC

Eternal Strands, an action role-playing game created by Mike Laidlaw’s studio, Yellow Brick Games, has recently revealed its exciting plans for the future. This game has gained a lot of praise since its release last month, where players join the journey of Brynn, a member of the Weavers. The Weavers are a dwindling group of magic users, and Brynn embarks on an adventure across a magical kingdom that has been severely affected by a catastrophic event. Her goal is to explore the kingdom’s mysteries and recover her people’s lost heritage.
In terms of gameplay, Eternal Strands takes inspiration from popular games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Shadow of the Colossus, and Monster Hunter. A Eurogamer reviewer, Christian Donlan, called the game a “combustible and hilarious sandbox” and awarded it four stars, highlighting its engaging gameplay.
As the month since its launch comes to a close, Yellow Brick Games is eager to share their post-launch plans with fans. They have announced a “Day 30 Patch” set to be released in March, which will bring several improvements. This includes making character movement feel more responsive to avoid a slippery sensation, enhancing combat responsiveness, reducing the appearance of Umbral Darters in certain areas, fixing bugs, and more.
Following this patch, players can look forward to some fun new content. In the upcoming spring update, Eternal Strands will offer its first free downloadable content (DLC). This expansion features a collaboration with renowned concept artist Yusuke Mogi, known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. The new content will introduce an epic storyline, a fresh armor set, and new weapon skins. Additionally, the spring update will also unveil a new map and a new magic power for players to explore. Other features include a system to dye weapons and armor, along with tips and tricks from the character Oria, plus further bug fixes to enhance the gameplay experience.
As summer approaches, players can anticipate the arrival of the second free DLC, which is a collaboration with Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio behind No More Heroes. Although specific details about this content have not yet been revealed, it promises to bring exciting new additions to the game.
Before the March patch goes live, Yellow Brick Games has shared developer notes that outline the key changes in detail. Additionally, the team is planning to host an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit on Thursday, February 27th, at 4 PM GMT. During this session, developers will answer questions about the game’s lore and reveal more about the features and content that players can expect in the future.
With all these updates and exciting new content on the horizon, players of Eternal Strands have much to look forward to in the coming months!
