Gilded Goblins Abound in Diablo IV

In the world of Sanctuary, there are many creatures that are greedy and sneaky. The event called the March of the Goblins is here, introducing six new types of Goblins, and these little troublemakers will be around even after the event is over. If you defeat them, you can gain reputation points which lead to exciting rewards. To start your adventure, visit the Goblin Statue located in central Kyovashad.
From March 4 at 10 a.m. PST to March 11 at 10 a.m. PDT, various Goblins will be causing chaos in every town and hideout. These Goblins have multiplied, just like they do in their own mischievous way. As you make progress on the Reputation track, you’ll have a better chance of getting Treasure Bags from defeated Goblins. You can hunt these sneaky creatures in all parts of the game, including different difficulty levels, the Overworld, and the deepest dungeons, as well as in both Eternal and Seasonal Realms.
During this event, you’ll notice more Treasure Goblins in larger groups, opportunities to discover Greed Shrines, and an increase in Treasure Goblins when you battle Avarice, the Gold-Cursed World Boss.
Now, let’s talk about the new Goblin variants. Deep within the underground caves and forgotten places of Sanctuary, these Goblins have been changing and evolving. People in towns are sharing stories about these strange and interesting creatures, who carry sacks that are overflowing with treasures. These new Goblin types are rarer than the usual brown bag ones, so be alert and keep an eye out for their shiny movements in the bushes.
One of the new types is the Odious Ector. This unpleasant Goblin loves to dig through workshops to collect various materials for itself. If you defeat this Goblin, you can get crafting materials, and it even drops a special item called Obducite when found in higher difficulty levels.
Next, we have the Gilded Baron, a sneaky Goblin known for wanting to grab every coin it can find. If you take down this Goblin, you’ll be rewarded with lots of Gold, so make sure to look out for the shiny treasure spilling from its bags.
Another new addition is the Glittering Prym. This Goblin sparkles in the sunlight and digs through abandoned mines to collect gems and runes. When you defeat it, you can collect Gem Fragments, Runes, and even special items in tougher levels.
Then there’s the Curious Murl, easily recognized by its purple color and the Obols it holds tightly. When you defeat this Goblin, you receive a bunch of Murmuring Obols. If your inventory is full, don’t worry; you can still collect a special bag during your adventure.
The Gelatinous Syrus is also new, and it’s a unique type that splits into two smaller Goblins upon defeat. If you want to collect the goodies from this one, you’ll have to defeat the smaller Goblins that appear afterwards. It drops 1 Legendary item, with more chances for additional Legendary items in harder difficulty levels.
Lastly, there’s the Fancy Old Fedric. This Goblin is so rare that some people doubt it even exists. If you spot this Goblin, you should seize the chance to defeat it because it can grant you amazing rewards, including a Mythic Unique item.
Remember, these new Goblins will stay in all game Realms after the event ends, but this is the best time to hunt them since they’re appearing in greater numbers now. As you defeat these Goblins, you’ll gain Reputation points leading to more fantastic rewards. The more you slay, the higher your chances of getting Treasure Bags. So gear up and enjoy the hunt during the March of the Goblins!
