- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Google and then All Services.
- Scroll down to Theft protection under Personal & device safety.
- Tap Identity Check.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up trusted places and enable the feature.
How Identity Check Works
Once enabled, Identity Check will require biometric authentication for actions like:

- Changing your screen lock or PIN.
- Modifying fingerprint or face unlock settings.
- Performing a factory reset.
- Turning off Find My Device or other security features.
Requirements and Availability
Identity Check is currently in beta and requires a Pixel phone with stable Android 15 and the QPR1 update or later. Your device must also support Class 3 biometrics (fingerprint or face recognition).
Enhanced Security for Sensitive Actions
Identity Check provides added peace of mind by preventing unauthorized access to your phone’s security settings and sensitive information. This is particularly useful when you’re traveling or in unfamiliar environments.

In addition to Identity Check, Google’s December update also includes various bug fixes and improvements for audio, display, and camera performance on Pixel phones.
With its focus on privacy and security, Google continues to enhance the Pixel phone experience, making it a secure and reliable choice for users.
