Honor Unveils Watch 5 Ultra, Open Earbuds, and Pad V9 at MWC 2025

During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Honor revealed several exciting gadgets for the international market. This new range includes the Honor Watch 5 Ultra smartwatch, the Honor Open Earbuds, and the Honor Pad V9 tablet. Although the Honor Earbuds Open and the Honor Pad V9 were previously launched in some parts of Asia, this announcement marks their global release. In addition, Honor has shared that its Magic series smartphones will now receive Android updates for up to seven years, thanks to Qualcomm’s recent commitment to extended support for its Snapdragon 8 and 7-series processors.
Honor Watch 5 Ultra: Features and Specifications
- The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is the first smartwatch to carry the ‘Ultra’ label from Honor.
- The watch features a stylish circular display set in an octagonal case made of a durable grade 5 titanium alloy. It includes a rotating crown and a physical button on the right side for easy navigation.
- The device is equipped with a 1.5-inch OLED screen that has a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. This display uses a Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) panel, providing a smooth 60Hz refresh rate.
- It’s designed to be IP68-rated, meaning it is dust-resistant and can withstand being submerged in water up to 5 ATM (about 50 meters).
- For fitness and health tracking, the Honor Watch 5 Ultra includes a heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, sleep monitoring features, and ECG capability. It supports over 100 sports modes and even has a free diving mode that allows diving up to 40 meters.
- The watch is also equipped with 8GB of internal storage and is powered by a 480mAh battery, which is expected to last for about 15 days of regular use.
The starting price for the Honor Watch 5 Ultra is EUR 279 (approximately ₹25,320). You can get it in Black with a Fluoroelastomer strap, or in Brown with a leather strap.
Honor Open Earbuds: Features and Specifications
- The Honor Open Earbuds sport an innovative open-ear design, featuring a curved headband that fits around the outer ear.
- Unlike traditional in-ear designs, these earbuds do not fully block the ear canals, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings while they listen.
- They come with a strong 16mm magnetic dynamic driver, promising virtual bass and an immersive sound experience.
- Despite their open design, the earbuds offer 3-mic Active Noise Cancellation to minimize surrounding sounds and enhance call quality with a dedicated 3-mic system for clear conversations.
- Unique features include AI translation with three modes: shared, exclusive, and interpreter, helping users communicate across different languages.
- Additionally, the earbuds have a Find Earbuds feature, dual connection capabilities, quick charging, and can last about 6 hours on a full charge, extending to 22 hours with the charging case.
The Honor Open Earbuds are priced at EUR 149 (around ₹13,520) and are available in Polar Gold and Polar Black.
Honor Pad V9: Features and Specifications
The Honor Pad V9, which recently entered global markets, mirrors the model released in China last year. It sports an 11.5-inch IMAX-enhanced display with a sharp 2.8K resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for movies and gaming. The tablet features eight speakers that support spatial audio for a rich audio experience. For photography, it has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
In terms of performance, the Honor Pad V9 is powered by the Dimensity 8350 processor, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. The device is supported by a robust 10,100mAh battery that comes with 66W fast charging, allowing quick power-ups. It runs on MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15.
The retail price for the Honor Pad V9 is EUR 449 (approximately ₹40,830) and is available in White and Gray colors.
As of now, it is uncertain whether any of these devices will be launched in India.
