Honor Watch 5 Ultra Launches with Titanium Design and ECG Features, Alongside Global Release of Honor Pad V9 and Earbuds Open

Honor Introduces the Watch 5 Ultra, Pad V9, and Earbuds Open
Today, Honor has launched some exciting new products: the Honor Watch 5 Ultra, the Honor Pad V9 tablet, and the Honor Earbuds Open. Each of these devices brings unique features aimed at enhancing user experience and functionality.
Honor Watch 5 Ultra
The Honor Watch 5 Ultra marks a big step for Honor in the smartwatch market. This watch is not only a sequel to the Honor Watch 4 Pro but also a major upgrade. One notable difference is its circular display encased in an octagonal body, which sets it apart from the standard Honor Watch 5.
Premium Build and Features
The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is designed with high-quality materials. The mid-frame is made from Grade 5 titanium alloy, offering both sturdiness and a premium feel. The back of the watch features a ceramic-like material combined with a polymer fiber composite, which is a significant upgrade from the aluminum used in the regular Honor Watch 5 and the stainless steel of the previous model.
One of the standout features of the watch is its sapphire crystal front, which adds an extra layer of durability and scratch resistance. The display itself is a 1.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a pixel density of 310 PPI. It includes an LTPO panel that supports a refresh rate of up to 60Hz. This means you can enjoy smooth animations while also extending battery life in low-power modes. Additionally, the watch supports an Always On Display mode.
Health Monitoring and Sports Mode
The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is also notable for its health-tracking capabilities. It is the company’s first watch equipped with an ECG feature, allowing users to get quick health scans. The watch will provide an instant ECG reading and a Health Monitor Report summarizing health data collected daily.
In terms of durability, it features a new Free Diving Mode that allows it to be used underwater at depths of up to 40 meters, surpassing the 5 ATM rating of earlier models. The watch supports over 100 sports modes, catering to fitness enthusiasts looking to track various activities.
Design and Usability
The watch measures 46.3mm in diameter, with a thickness of 11.4mm. Weighing in at 51.8 grams (without the strap), it is a comfortable option for daily wear. It includes a built-in speaker for making phone calls directly from the watch.
Navigation is user-friendly, thanks to a rotating crown that allows easy access to different features. The UI is highly customizable, offering over 10,000 unique watch faces and handy Scenario Service Cards that provide quick access to functions such as weather updates and fitness tracking.
The watch is powered by a 480mAh battery, which is the same size as those in the Watch 4 Pro and Watch 5. It boasts an impressive battery life of up to 15 days and supports wireless charging. The Honor Watch 5 Ultra comes in two color options: Black and Brown, each paired with a strap made of either fluoroelastomer or leather.
Honor Pad V9
The Honor Pad V9, unveiled last December, is an 11.5-inch tablet designed to enhance productivity and entertainment. The display features an IPS LCD with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz, making it ideal for smooth visuals.
Powerful Performance and Features
The tablet is powered by the Dimensity 8350 processor, which ensures swift performance for various tasks. It also supports the Magic Pencil 3 and a Smart Keyboard cover, allowing users to take notes and type more efficiently (both sold separately).
Audio is a noteworthy feature of the Honor Pad V9, which includes a set of eight IMAX Enhanced speakers. This feature enhances the audio experience, making it great for watching movies or playing games. The device is equipped with a robust 10,100mAh battery, cleverly packed into its slim 6.1mm frame, and supports 66W fast charging for quick power-ups.
Honor Earbuds Open
Completing this lineup, the Honor Earbuds Open offer a blend of comfort and technological innovation. Their open-ear design and ear hooks are crafted for long-term wear, ensuring they stay securely in place.
Smart Features and Comfortable Design
These earbuds are equipped with AI technology that facilitates translation in 15 languages, featuring three modes: Shared Mode, Exclusive Mode, and Simultaneous Interpretation. Additionally, they include Active Noise Cancellation to enhance audio clarity, even in noisy settings. A bone voiceprint sensor ensures that your voice comes through clearly during calls.
Each earbud weighs just 7.9 grams and is made from skin-friendly silicone, making them comfortable for extended use. They have an IP54 rating, allowing them to withstand rain, making them great for outdoor activities. On a full charge, the earbuds can last up to 6 hours, with a total of 22 hours of use available when using the charging case. With quick charging features, just 15 minutes in the case gives you an additional 2 hours of listening.
Overall, Honor’s new releases aim to provide a seamless blend of style, functionality, and advanced technology, catering to various lifestyles and preferences.
