Introducing Volkswagen’s Most Affordable Electric Vehicle – 250 Km Range and 130 Km/h Top Speed

Volkswagen has announced an exciting new electric vehicle (EV) model called the ID. EVERY1, set to launch in 2027 in Europe. This initiative is part of Volkswagen’s broader goal to enhance the accessibility of electric mobility for consumers. The ID. EVERY1 is expected to have a starting price of approximately 20,000 euros (around Rs. 18.95 lakh), positioning it as an entry-level option among the company’s offerings.
The ID. EVERY1 is part of an expanding line of urban-oriented electric vehicles, joining the ID. 2all, which is anticipated to debut in 2026 with a price under 25,000 euros (about Rs. 23.69 lakh). Both vehicles utilize Volkswagen’s innovative modular electric drive platform (MEB), which allows for front-wheel drive configurations. This same architecture is also used in the ID. 2all and the sporty ID. GTI concept.
Design-wise, the ID. EVERY1 aims to maximize interior space, making it practical for everyday use. The model is equipped with a 95 PS electric motor, enabling it to achieve speeds of up to 130 km/h. It boasts a minimum driving range of 250 kilometers, which can help ease concerns about charging infrastructure. With dimensions of 3,880 mm in length, the ID. EVERY1 fits comfortably between the company’s smaller models, like the up! and Polo.
The interior of the ID. EVERY1 is designed to be modern yet functional, featuring physical buttons for ease of use. The cabin is roomy enough for four passengers and includes a luggage compartment with a capacity of 305 liters, catering to various storage needs. A standout feature is its sophisticated software architecture that allows for over-the-air updates and digital enhancements throughout the vehicle’s lifespan, ensuring that it remains current as technology evolves.
This new EV is part of Volkswagen’s comprehensive plan, which includes launching nine new vehicle models by 2027, with at least four of those being electric, further pushing the brand’s goals in the e-mobility space. With aggressive expansion tactics, Volkswagen aims to solidify its position in the competitive electric vehicle market while presenting a variety of options to cater to diverse customer preferences.
Aside from the ID. EVERY1 and the ID. 2all, Volkswagen has also confirmed other upcoming releases. Notably, the Tiguan R-Line and the Golf GTI are set to hit the Indian market in the second quarter of this year, expanding VW’s footprint in the region. There is even talk of a local EV model, although specific details about this vehicle remain undisclosed at this time.
The ID. EVERY1 showcases Volkswagen’s commitment to producing electric vehicles that are accessible to a wider audience. With its combination of affordability, practical design, and innovative technology, it is poised to make a significant mark on the market when it arrives. As the demand for electric mobility continues to rise, Volkswagen’s strategic initiatives are designed to keep the brand competitive while also addressing the needs of modern drivers seeking sustainable transportation solutions.
