I absolutely love things like arcane horrors and folklore stories, and luckily for me, and probably others, it looks like LifeAfter is having fun. The Season 7 expansion, titled The Heronville Mystery, is injecting some folk terror into the proceedings, complete with a new profession to learn from.
You wake up from a confusing dream that left you feeling nervous, only to find an invitation from Heronville perched on your pillow. Heading to this mysterious village on the edge of a swamp, you’ll face all manner of bizarre creatures as you investigate this spooky place.
To aid you in this mission, a group known as Exorcists will join you as you investigate Heronville. Be nice and they will teach your heir skills, allowing you to control corpses, transform into defeated survivors, and even receive yourself. To give you a chance to try it out, there’s an event that lets you jump into Exorcisit, try it out, and then go back for free.
Of course, a new area means a new story. You will meet an exorcist called Ling Yao who will accompany you to Heronville to delve into its secrets. You’ll find an underground crypt that hides a secret ritual involving a bridge in red, and unfortunately now you. The advance team also noted the presence of the Blue Tide to contend with.
A host of powerful new Infected will pop up overhead, but you won’t be able to see them all. This is because some can blend into the shadows and sneak up on you, while others move so quickly and unexpectedly that you won’t be able to keep up with them. The further you progress through the story, the more weird and wonderful monsters will appear.
Season 7 also includes the latest Simple Survival themed servers. These give you the ability to create new survivors and level up with incredible ease thanks to a streamlined development system for rapid progression. Thanks to this season’s pre-launch event, everyone will receive the Falling Gift and the Shining Blind Box. Finally, for the first 14 days of this event, you will be able to enjoy free profession change, gender and race change, as well as face reshaping on skill reset.
LifeAfter is available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
