Mahindra’s Electric-Origin SUVs: Ushering in a New Era of EVs in India

The automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation as electric vehicles (EVs) gain traction worldwide. In India, Mahindra is poised to play a major role in this shift with its upcoming electric-origin SUVs.

While India already offers a variety of EVs, most are electric versions of existing gasoline-powered models. Mahindra’s new eSUVs, based on the INGLO Electric Origin Architecture, represent a departure from this trend, offering a dedicated EV platform designed for optimal performance, range, and technology.

A Platform for the Future

The INGLO platform, developed with the expertise of over 250 global partners, unlocks new possibilities for EV design and engineering. It enables features and capabilities not possible with traditional ICE-derived platforms, paving the way for a true EV revolution.

Power and Performance

Mahindra’s eSUVs promise impressive performance, with battery options ranging from 59 kWh to 79 kWh, delivering power outputs between 170-210 kW. This positions them as strong contenders in the high-performance SUV segment.

Futuristic Design

The eSUVs’ design takes inspiration from Mahindra’s earlier concept car, showcasing a futuristic and aerodynamic aesthetic. The INGLO platform’s flexibility allows for various body styles, including SUVs, coupe SUVs, and potentially even convertibles.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Mahindra’s eSUVs will be packed with advanced technology, including a new Snapdragon chipset powering three screens with a user-friendly interface. In-car cameras enhance safety by monitoring the driver and passengers. The eSUVs will also feature Level 2+ ADAS with advanced sensors and a 360-degree camera, offering safety features typically found in premium luxury vehicles.

Entertainment on the Go

For an immersive audio experience, the eSUVs will feature a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ensuring a premium in-car entertainment experience.

India’s Electrified Future

With government initiatives supporting EV adoption, including tax benefits and subsidies, India is poised to become a major player in the global EV market. Mahindra’s commitment to developing affordable and technologically advanced electric-origin SUVs positions the company as a leader in this transformative shift towards sustainable mobility.

As Mahindra prepares to launch its new eSUVs, the future of electric vehicles in India looks promising, with innovation, performance, and sustainability at the forefront.
