Hero MotoCorp Launches Stylish New Bikes: Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R
Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s leading motorcycle manufacturers, is stepping up its game with two new models: the Xpulse 210 and the Xtreme 250R. These models stand out with a focus on performance and style rather than just being affordable options. The starting prices for these bikes are Rs 1.76 lakh for the Xpulse 210 and Rs 1.80 lakh for the Xtreme 250R.
Pre-Booking Information for Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R
Initially, Hero MotoCorp planned to start the booking process for both bikes in February 2025, with deliveries expected to begin in March. However, there has been a slight delay. Now, bookings for the Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R will begin on March 20, 2025, with deliveries anticipated for late March or early April 2025.
Hero Xpulse 210: Features and Comparisons
The Hero Xpulse 210 is designed to replace its predecessor, the Xpulse 200 4V. This new model not only boosts power but also enhances the overall riding experience. As the most affordable adventure bike in its segment, it positions itself directly against the more expensive Kawasaki KLX230, which starts at Rs 3.30 lakh.
Powered by 24.26 bhp and delivering a torque of 20.7 Nm, the Xpulse 210 outperforms the KLX230, which offers 17.85 bhp and 18.3 Nm. However, the Xpulse 210 weighs 170 kg compared to the 139 kg of the KLX230. This gives the Xpulse a higher power-to-weight ratio but a lower torque-to-weight ratio.
Both models share features like telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension, disc brakes on both ends, dual-channel ABS, and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the KLX230 provides slightly better suspension travel with 240 mm front and 250 mm rear, while the Xpulse 210 offers 210 mm front and 205 mm rear. Notably, the Xpulse 210 comes equipped with an LED projector headlamp and a navigation-enabled instrument cluster, adding to its appeal.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Highlights and Competition
The Xtreme 250R is one of the sportiest bikes from Hero MotoCorp. It draws inspiration from the Xtunt 2.5R concept introduced at EICMA 2023. Key features include a bold headlamp design, golden USD forks, a sculpted fuel tank, split seats, and an upswept exhaust. This bike is powered by a 249.03 cc, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 30 PS and 25 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Hero claims that the Xtreme 250R is the fastest bike in its category, reaching 0 to 60 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The bike’s steel trellis frame combined with its USD forks and monoshock suspension ensures a smooth ride. It also features 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, wrapped with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. The tech package includes an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and over 35 features.
In terms of competition, the Xtreme 250R goes head-to-head with models like the Pulsar N250, Dominar 250, KTM 250 Duke, Vitpilen 250, and Gixxer 250. It is the second most affordable of these options, providing good power and torque when compared to the Pulsar, Dominar, and Gixxer, while closely competing with the 250 Duke and Vitpilen 250.
