The Xiaomi Watch S4 has officially launched globally, and it’s ready to impress. Building on the success of its predecessor, which gained a huge following, the Watch S4 brings exciting new features and improvements.

Unboxing the Xiaomi Watch S4

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Watch S4 retains a singular 47mm case size and boasts a 1.43-inch display. One significant upgrade is the brightness of the display, which has increased from 600 nits to an impressive 2,200 nits. This enhancement means that you can easily view the screen even in bright daylight.

A highlight feature from previous models is the swappable bezels. The Watch S4 enhances this idea with a new warning system: when you remove the bezel, the watch vibrates until you replace it. This ensures you won’t accidentally misplace it.

The bezel is secured via a bayonet-style mechanism, making it simple to change. With a standard 22mm strap size, you can customize the look of your watch with various straps and bezels available on the market. Our review unit came with a colorful rubber strap and a matching bezel, but you can also choose alternatives like a dual-tone leather strap combined with a stainless steel and ceramic bezel.

Battery Life and Usage

The battery of the Xiaomi Watch S4 remains unchanged at 486mAh. Xiaomi claims that the watch can last up to 15 days on a single charge. In our experience with the previous model, we managed to get about 5 days of heavy usage. We’re looking forward to testing whether the new watch’s brighter display will impact battery life.
