Samsung could be gearing up to launch the successor to its Galaxy Ring as early as January 2025. According to a recent report, the Galaxy Ring 2 might be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S25 series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.

Enhanced Features and Improved Accuracy

The Galaxy Ring 2 is rumored to feature enhanced health-tracking capabilities, including more accurate sensors and improved AI functionality. It is also expected to offer an extended battery life of more than seven days on a single charge.

Expanded Sizing Options

The new ring is said to retain the nine size options of its predecessor while adding two new sizes to better compete with rivals like the Oura Ring.

Potential Launch Timeline

Samsung initially teased the Galaxy Ring earlier this year during the Galaxy S24 series launch event and later showcased it at MWC 2024. The first-generation Galaxy Ring was officially launched in July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, and it became available in India in October.

Galaxy Ring Features

The current Galaxy Ring boasts a titanium build, IP68 water and dust resistance, and Samsung’s Health AI features for comprehensive health tracking.

Looking Ahead

With the Galaxy Unpacked event rumored to take place on January 22nd, 2025, it’s possible that Samsung will use this platform to unveil the Galaxy Ring 2, along with its new Galaxy S25 smartphones and potentially even AR smart glasses.
