Samsung has recently shared a teaser on its official website, hinting at the upcoming launch of new Galaxy A series smartphones. This launch is set for March 2, 2025, and Samsung has already started accepting registrations for those interested in these new devices. Although the specific names of these phones haven’t been confirmed yet, there are leaks and rumors pointing towards the introduction of the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and possibly the Galaxy A26. These new models are expected to replace last year’s Galaxy A55, A35, and A25.
The new Galaxy A series phones are anticipated to showcase a fresh design. It is reported that all three models will likely feature a 6.7-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a clear resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The Galaxy A56 and A36 are rumored to be capable of reaching up to 1200 nits of brightness. The A56 may include robust Gorilla Glass Victus for protection, while the A36 could utilize Gorilla Glass 7i. The A26 is supposed to come with a version of Gorilla Glass, although the exact type hasn’t been specified.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy A56 is expected to run on the Exynos 1580 chipset, and the Galaxy A36 could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. If the Galaxy A26 is launched, it might come equipped with the Exynos 1280 chipset. All three models are likely to operate on Android 15, with Samsung’s One UI 7 running on top. One of the most intriguing rumors is that these phones might receive up to six years of operating system updates, a feature that was first introduced with the Galaxy A16.
When it comes to cameras, both the Galaxy A56 and A36 are expected to have a similar triple-camera setup with a main 50-megapixel camera. The A26 might follow this design but could come with slightly different specifications. Regarding battery life, the A56 and A36 are rumored to feature a 5,000mAh battery capable of supporting 45W fast charging, while the A26 may come with a smaller 4,565mAh battery that supports 25W charging.
In terms of security features, the Galaxy A56 and A36 are expected to include an under-display fingerprint scanner, while the A26 may stick with a side-mounted fingerprint reader. As for memory and storage options, the A26 could be available with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, the A36 might offer 6GB to 8GB of RAM, and the A56 could go up to 12GB of RAM. All three phones are expected to have up to 256GB of internal storage.
According to reports, the starting price for the Galaxy A36 could be around Rs 32,999, while the Galaxy A56 might be priced at approximately Rs 41,999. If the Galaxy A26 is launched, it may cost around Rs 28,000. These prices are a bit higher compared to their predecessors, but the improvements in performance, display quality, and software support are likely reasons for this increase. Overall, Samsung seems to be gearing up to deliver enhanced features and specifications with the new Galaxy A series smartphones.
