Samsung teases Galaxy A56 and A36 with video, promises 6 OS updates

Recently, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A06 5G in India, and now it appears that the company is preparing to launch two more smartphones: the Galaxy A36 and A56. There is some uncertainty about the A26, but it could also be unveiled along with the others. To build excitement, Samsung shared a teaser video on platforms like YouTube and X.
In this video, viewers see various A-series phones, but oddly enough, the A36 and A56 are not featured. While this is not official confirmation of anything, rumors indicate that both phones will come with a new design for the camera layout.
The video celebrates the A-series, which reportedly has over 89 million users around the world. One interesting point made in the teaser is that the upcoming A-series models are promised to receive six operating system (OS) updates. This is an upgrade compared to last year’s A35 and A55 models, which only received four updates. This new promise is a positive step for the upcoming 2025 models, bringing them closer to the premium S and Z series, which offer even longer support.
However, the video does not disclose the specific launch dates for the Galaxy A36 and A56. Also, the @SamsungIndia account on X has not provided any additional information about when these new models will be available. Apart from the A-series, Samsung India is set to reveal the Galaxy M16 and M06 5G soon, but, like before, the exact dates remain unclear.
Information about the Galaxy A36 and A56 has been circulating for some time. The more advanced A56 is expected to run on the Exynos 1580 processor, while the A36 will use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Both devices will feature a 6.6-inch OLED display and come equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. There have also been indications of the Galaxy A26, which seems to be nearing its launch as it has already been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). However, the spotlight appears to be primarily on the A36 and A56 since they are anticipated to attract more attention from consumers.
Overall, while we await further details on the launches of these new models, Samsung is clearly gearing up for an exciting new chapter in its A-series smartphone lineup. With a potential focus on improved design and extended software support, the upcoming devices could appeal to a wide range of users. Fans of the brand will be eager to see how the A36 and A56 perform in a market that increasingly values both performance features and long-term software updates.
