Samsung has recently launched two new smartphones in India under its M-series: the Galaxy M06 5G and the Galaxy M16 5G. Although these devices have new names, they are essentially updated versions of the existing Galaxy A and F-series smartphones.
The Galaxy M16 5G shares the same hardware as the Galaxy A16 5G. It features a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz for smooth visuals. The Galaxy M16 5G is available in three attractive colors: Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black. The starting price for the M16 is INR 11,499, which is approximately $132. The phone will be available for purchase from March 5.
On the other hand, the Galaxy M06 5G is essentially a renamed version of the Galaxy F06 5G, which was launched earlier. The differences between the two models are mostly cosmetic; the M06 is available in Sage Green and Blazing Black colors.
The Galaxy M06 5G can come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, making it suitable for everyday use. It is equipped with One UI Core 7.0, based on Android 15. Samsung promises 4 years of Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates for this model as well.
The starting price for the Galaxy M06 5G is INR 9,499, which translates to around $109. Sales for this model are set to begin on March 7 in India.
