Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 Receive Rating in Singapore

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 Receive Rating in Singapore

Rumors around a remake of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4” have intensified after the game got a rating from Singapore’s gaming board, indicating it may be released in 2025. This potential remake would include the third and fourth games in the beloved Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series and is said to be available on a variety of gaming platforms. According to the ratings board, the game could be played on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

However, there hasn’t been any official news confirming this collection yet. Interestingly, a countdown timer that has appeared in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” suggests there might be some announcements related to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on the way. The timer is set to end on March 4, 2025, which has many fans excited for what could be revealed.

Tony Hawk, the famous skateboarder and the face of the series, has mentioned in a conversation with Mythical Kitchen that he has been in talks with Activision again. He hinted that they are cooking up something special for fans, saying, “It will be something the fans will truly appreciate.” This gives hope that something exciting is on the horizon.

This potential remake of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4” seems logical, especially after the successful remake of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2” in 2020. That remake was well-received, leading many to believe that it would only make sense to continue with remaking the next two games. Although it seemed almost certain that “3 and 4” would follow, Activision made some changes in 2021 when they folded the developer, Vicarious Visions, into Blizzard. The team that had worked on the previous remakes shifted focus to developing for Blizzard games instead.

Tony Hawk has shared that the original intention was to move straight from the remake of “1 and 2” into “3 and 4,” right up to the actual release of the first remake. However, after the developer merged with Blizzard, Activision began looking for other studios to take on the project. Hawk explained that Activision was searching for a team to handle the remake of “3 and 4” but weren’t confident in anyone the same way they were with Vicarious Visions. They listened to ideas from other studios but were not satisfied with what they heard, which is why the project seemed to stall.

This leads to the burning question: If the remake of “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4” is indeed in the works, who is going to develop it? The rating from Singapore indicates that Activision is still listed as both the publisher and developer. With the countdown clock set to finish on March 4, many fans are eager to find out more about what’s next for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise.

As anticipation builds for the reveal, fans are crossing their fingers that the announcement will deliver on the excitement that has been building around Tony Hawk’s return to the gaming world.
