Ultraviolette Tesseract and Shockwave Unveiled, Starting at Rs. 1.20 Lakhs

Ultraviolette Expands Electric Vehicle Lineup with Tesseract E-Scooter and Shockwave Enduro Bike
Ultraviolette, an electric vehicle company based in Bengaluru, India, has introduced two exciting new products to its lineup: the Tesseract electric maxi-scooter and the Shockwave lightweight electric enduro bike. Both models are set to be launched with attractive introductory prices. They are expected to hit the roads by early 2026, making them some of the most anticipated electric vehicles in the market.
Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter
The Tesseract represents Ultraviolette’s first venture into the electric scooter market. It is priced at approximately Rs. 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom), but for an initial group of 10,000 buyers, it will be available at a discounted price of Rs. 1.20 lakhs. Customers can expect deliveries to start in the first quarter of 2026.
This innovative electric scooter is designed for urban riders who want both performance and practicality. Some of its standout features include a 7-inch touchscreen display, wireless phone charging, built-in front and rear dashcams, and advanced radar-assisted safety features — making it a first for electric scooters in India. To enhance the riding experience, the Tesseract includes haptic feedback on the handlebar, providing a more interactive feel for the rider.
While Ultraviolette has not shared specific details about the battery, the Tesseract is reported to have a range of up to 261 km on a full charge (under the Indian Driving Cycle). When it comes to performance, the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 125 km/h. It is equipped with a fast-charging facility that allows the battery to charge from 0 to 80% in under an hour, making it convenient for daily use.
The Tesseract also comes with 14-inch wheels, which is relatively rare in the scooter market in India, competing with models like the River Indie. For safety, it includes features such as dual-channel ABS, traction control, and dynamic stability control—similar to what is available on Ultraviolette’s F77 electric motorcycle.
Additionally, practicality is emphasized with 34 liters of under-seat storage, ample space for a full-face helmet. Buyers will also have a choice of three color options: Desert Sand, Stealth Black, and Sonic Pink, along with a variety of accessories to personalize their ride.
Ultraviolette Shockwave Electric Enduro Bike
Alongside the Tesseract, Ultraviolette has also introduced the Shockwave, a lightweight electric enduro bike. It is priced at Rs. 1.50 lakhs for the first 1,000 units, after which the price will increase to Rs. 1.75 lakhs. Like the Tesseract, deliveries for the Shockwave are expected to start in Q1 2026.
Weighing in at just 120 kg, the Shockwave is built for performance and versatility, especially in off-road conditions. It has a peak output of 14.7 horsepower and delivers an impressive torque of 505 Nm at the wheels, thanks to its gearing setup.
The bike can also reach 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds, matching the Tesseract’s rapid acceleration, and has a claimed top speed of 120 km/h, along with an IDC-certified range of 165 km. Details about the battery capacity have not been disclosed yet.
For handling, the Shockwave features a front suspension with a 37 mm USD fork providing 200 mm of travel, paired with a rear monoshock that offers 180 mm of travel. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, fitted with 90/90 and 110/90 tires. Braking is handled by a 270 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc.
Customers will have the option to choose from two attractive dual-tone paint schemes—yellow and black or white and red—adding a stylish touch to this robust machine.
Expanding Ultraviolette’s Product Range
With the launch of the Tesseract and Shockwave, Ultraviolette is not just expanding its product offerings but also building a clearer brand identity. The F-series focuses on performance-oriented motorcycles like the F77, while the S-series is aimed at electric scooters, and the L-series is dedicated to lightweight bikes like the Shockwave. The company has also hinted at two additional product platforms—X and B—that will support future innovations.
Both the Tesseract and Shockwave embody Ultraviolette’s commitment to blending advanced technology with practical features, catering to a diverse range of riders from urban commuters to off-road enthusiasts. Their stylish designs and impressive specifications position them well in the competitive electric vehicle market.
