US players will have the chance to follow SD Gundam G Generation Eternal next month

Everyone has a favorite game developer and for me a contender has always been Bandai Namco. Ever since I was a kid they’ve been putting out amazing titles; Digimon World, .hack, Tales of Series, Freedom Wars, I could go on. And I will, with news about the upcoming strategy game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal.

It’s a bit of a title, so let’s stick with Gundam. Everyone knows the Gundam series; the highly successful multinational mecha franchise. It has spawned countless anime, movies, games, toys, and more. They’re great flashy action pieces and I love them, and soon mobile users everywhere will too.

Unfortunately, being as chronically British as I am, I won’t be able to take part in the next Network Test. Gundam will be available for use in the US from January 23rd to 28th on both Android and Apple, which is certainly a very generous amount of time. Of course, it’s not guaranteed and you’ll have to register to have a chance.

The application period is open now and will run until January 7, so there’s plenty of time to sign up. However, places are incredibly limited, with only 1,500 people selected. You’ll know if you’re chosen after January 17, so enjoy this uncomfortable waiting period.

Those lucky few who get a contribution that I will be immensely jealous of will be able to experience Gundams’ strategic gameplay in several ways. There will be levels based on Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. There will be brand new units to collect and upgrade, before sending them out to face the Fierce Enemy Assault. This is end-game level content with huge rewards, so start grinding.

SD Gundam G Generation Eternal will be available on Android and Apple at launch.
