Xbox Leader Hints at Unrevealed Games and Responds to Switch 2 Announcement

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Xbox and all the games they plan to release in 2025. Though we already know about some titles, it seems there are many more that Xbox has not yet shared with the public. Craig Duncan, who is in charge of Xbox Game Studios, recently mentioned in an interview that Microsoft has many games in development that are still under wraps.
When asked about the games he enjoys playing and those he is looking forward to, Duncan shared during an episode of the Xbox podcast that he spends a considerable amount of time playing Microsoft’s titles, including some that haven’t been announced yet. He said, “We’ve got a bunch of stuff we haven’t announced, so obviously I spend a bunch of time with that.” This hint suggests that Xbox has exciting surprises in store for gamers.
Interestingly, Microsoft is set to release more games for the PlayStation 5 this year compared to its rival, Sony. Some of the titles that players can look forward to include “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” “Doom: The Dark Ages,” “Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition,” “Age of Mythology: Retold,” “The Outer Worlds 2,” and “Ninja Gaiden 4.”
Looking ahead, there are expectations that Microsoft will host a showcase in June where they might reveal more information about upcoming Xbox games. One notable title, “Fable,” which was planned for 2025, has been pushed back to 2026 and could also potentially be available on PS5. Additionally, fans can look forward to new titles like “Perfect Dark” and “Gears of War: E-Day.” There are also many rumors flying around regarding a new “Halo” game that may be coming to PS5, alongside Microsoft’s confirmation that multiple new “Halo” titles are currently in development.
During the same interview, Duncan also commented on the announcement of the Switch 2 by Nintendo earlier this year. He expressed excitement about seeing Nintendo finally unveil the new console and mentioned that he is always eager to discover what Nintendo is planning for its fans. Previously, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, hinted at the possibility of bringing games to the Switch 2, aligning with Microsoft’s strategy of making their games available on multiple platforms.
Craig Duncan, who has just been promoted to the head of Xbox Game Studios, has had an impressive career at Microsoft, notably for his long tenure as the studio head at Rare, the developer behind “Sea of Thieves.” With his new position, fans can expect even more exciting developments from Xbox in the future. As we look towards the coming years, it’s clear that Xbox is gearing up for a busy time with lots of new games, and players are eagerly awaiting more announcements.
