Xiaomi 15 Ultra Unveiled with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 200 MP Telephoto Camera

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone in China, showcasing its advanced features and technology. This impressive new device comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor and a camera system that has been specially tuned by Leica. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the successor to last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
There are plans to feature the Xiaomi 15 Ultra at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, which will take place in Barcelona. Additionally, it is expected to make its debut in India sometime in March.
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is its large 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which offers a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. It also supports Dolby Vision, enhancing the viewing experience with stunning visuals.
Powering this smartphone is a robust 6,000 mAh battery that comes with a fast charging capability of 90 watts. This ensures that users can quickly recharge their devices, reducing downtime.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra offers impressive specifications. It is available with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on HyperOS 2, which is based on the latest Android 15.
For photography enthusiasts, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a remarkable camera setup. It includes a 50 MP main camera with a 1-inch Leica sensor, a 200 MP super telephoto lens, a 50 MP floating telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. There’s also a 32 MP front-facing camera for selfies.
As for pricing, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at CNY 6,499, which is approximately ₹78,000 for the model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The price for the option with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is CNY 6,999 (around ₹84,000), while the high-end model with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage costs CNY 7,799 (approximately ₹93,000).
Currently, Xiaomi has not announced when the 15 Ultra will be launched in India, and the prices and specifications may differ based on the local market and memory configurations.
