Google Photos is reportedly working on a new “Quick Edit” feature that will allow users to make quick adjustments to photos and videos before sharing them. This feature aims to streamline the sharing process by providing basic editing tools directly within the sharing workflow.
Quick Edit is said to include an “Enhanced” option, similar to the existing Enhance tool, which automatically improves the overall quality of an image. Additionally, it will offer a cropping tool for quick adjustments to framing.
This feature is reportedly triggered when a single media file is selected for sharing. When multiple files are selected, the standard sharing options will appear instead.
While Quick Edit was spotted in Google Photos version 7.10.0 for Android, it appears to be under development and not yet publicly available.
This potential addition comes on the heels of other recent updates to Google Photos, including the replacement of the “Memories” tab with a new “Moments” tab and a redesigned feed that highlights shared albums and conversations.
With Quick Edit, Google Photos could further enhance its user experience by making it even easier to share visually appealing photos and videos.
