Kia Syros Achieves 20,000 Bookings Milestone

Kia India has seen an impressive response to its new Syros SUV, with over 20,163 bookings within just a few weeks of its launch. This strong interest not only highlights Kia’s growing reputation in the sub-compact SUV market but also indicates that the Syros has quickly become a favorite among Indian customers.
When looking at the trends from these bookings, it’s clear that many buyers prefer petrol versions over diesel, with petrol models making up about 67% of all orders. Additionally, more than 38% of purchasers are choosing automatic transmission models. This reflects a shift towards easier driving options. Buyers are also showing a keen interest in the higher-end models, with nearly half, or 46%, opting for the more premium trims.
In terms of colors, Glacier White Pearl is the most popular choice, chosen by 32% of buyers. Aurora Black Pearl is close behind at 26%, with Frost Blue capturing 20%. This preference for specific shades illustrates what customers are looking for visually in their vehicles. The Syros was launched on February 1, 2025, with introductory prices ranging from Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). For those prioritizing advanced safety, the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) package is available for an additional Rs 80,000 on top models.
The Syros comes packed with advanced technology features that set a new standard in its segment. One notable feature is the ability for Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, which allow the vehicle’s software to be updated remotely without requiring a trip to the dealer. Additionally, the Kia Connect 2.0 system provides over 80 connected features, enhancing the driving experience. There are also proactive notifications through systems like Kia Connect Diagnosis (KCD) and Kia Advanced Total Care (KATC), which inform owners about vehicle health and maintenance needs.
Among its bookings, about 18% of customers opted for variants equipped with ADAS, signaling a strong interest in safety features. These trims include a comprehensive safety package with 20 high-standard safety items and 16 autonomous safety systems, enhancing the overall driving security.
Kia has designed the Syros to appeal to modern urban drivers who appreciate tech and style. The vehicle sports a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display for an immersive experience, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof for added ambiance, and 64-color ambient lighting for a personalized touch. It also includes the first-ever rear seat controls for reclining, sliding, and ventilation, which enhances passenger comfort significantly. Additionally, flexible boot space allows owners to adjust the cargo area according to their needs.
To improve customer satisfaction, Kia India is rolling out several ownership programs. These include the My Convenience Secure program, which covers wear-and-tear parts, and My Convenience Plus, which combines maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance in one package. The Scratch Care Program offers free repairs for one scratch within the first year, and standard roadside assistance is provided for three years, extendable for up to six years.
Hardeep Singh Brar, the Senior Vice President and National Head of Sales and Marketing, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response to the Syros. He noted that the launch marked a significant moment for Kia India, reflecting their commitment to excellence. The strong demand for higher trims shows that Indian customers are increasingly seeking sophisticated designs, advanced technology, and exceptional comfort. Kia believes that the Syros will set new standards in the industry and disrupt the sub-compact SUV market significantly.
