Week 10 Highlights: Announcements from Samsung, Nothing, and More at MWC 2025

The Mobile World Congress (MWC), one of the largest technology events of the year, showcased a flurry of new devices and innovations this week. Anticipation built even before the event kicked off, as several brands revealed their latest products the week prior. Notable companies that took the opportunity to unveil new items included Infinix, Nothing, nubia, Samsung, Tecno, Xiaomi, and even Apple.
Infinix introduced its Note 50 series, launching the Note 50 and Note 50 Pro in Indonesia. A significant enhancement in these models is the larger 5,200mAh battery, along with an improved display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate. The Note 50 comes in colors including Green, Red, Gray, and Gold, with an entry price of IDR 2,699,000 (approximately $165) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The Note 50 Pro, which offers a wider variety of colors—Purple, Gold, Gray, and Silver—has a starting price of IDR 2,999,000 ($182) for the same storage configuration.
Nothing also made waves by launching two models, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, which boast similar specifications but vary in design. Both phones are powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, have up to 12GB of RAM, and feature 6.77-inch OLED displays. Their batteries are both rated at 5,000mAh with support for 50W fast charging. The Phone (3a) has a versatile camera setup with a 50MP main camera and an ultrawide lens, while the Pro version enhances camera capabilities with a longer zoom and a 50MP selfie camera. The prices start at £329 (or €329 and INR 24,999) for the 8/128GB model of the Phone (3a), while the Pro variant begins at £449 ($459) for the 12/256GB version.
ZTE’s nubia also joined the MWC excitement, presenting the Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT—both aimed at gamers. The Neo 3 features a Unisoc T8300 processor with battery options of either 5,200mAh or 6,000mAh. The Neo 3 GT steps up with a Unisoc T9100 chip and comes equipped with a cooling vapor chamber, providing gamers with an option to select between 5,000mAh or 6,000mAh batteries as well.
Samsung took the stage with a refreshing lineup that included the Galaxy A56, A36, and S26 models. The A56 incorporates an Exynos 1580 chip and a 6.7-inch display, with a sizeable 5,000mAh battery supporting fast 45W charging. Its pricing starts at €479 ($499). The Galaxy A36 and A26 models are similarly packed with features. The A36 includes a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, while the A26 uses the older Exynos 1380 chip. Both the A36 and A26 come with 6.7-inch displays and boast a strong battery life with 5,000mAh ratings. In a move benefiting customers, Samsung has committed to providing six years of security updates and OS upgrades for these models.
During MWC, Apple also revealed new products, including a MacBook Air featuring the M4 chip and the Mac Studio with M4 Max processing capabilities. The company additionally introduced an updated base iPad and iPad Air, both getting performance boosts with the new A16 and M3 chips, respectively.
Xiaomi took advantage of the Mobile World Congress to globally launch its Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, providing further variety in the mobile market as tech enthusiasts flocked to see the latest innovations firsthand.
Tecno showcased its Spark Slim, a phone noted for its remarkable slim design at just 5.75mm thick, while Xiaomi unveiled its flagship earbuds, the Buds 5 Pro, designed with in-ear tips and triple drivers promising extended battery life.
This year’s Mobile World Congress served as a platform for leading tech companies to display their advancements, each making strides in power, performance, and innovative design.
